The most deliciously festive and easy cream cheese Christmas tree for your guests. Or yourself. I'm not here to judge.

If you love it as much as I do, I'd adore hearing all about it.
Tried and tested by yours truly for a number of Christmas' now and I don't know, but it seems to taste better, year on year.
Cream Cheese Christmas Tree
Ingredients
2x 190gm packets of spring onion and chive cream cheese- I used this one but there are other brands out there which will be delicious
1 pkt fresh chives, chopped
pomegranate seeds- between 12-20
pine nuts- between 12-20
thick slice of hard cheese- tasty or cheddar. Vintage is yummy but may crumble too easily
2 lengths of glad wrap
1 toothpick
small round cookie cutter like this one- the size of a 20cent piece is ideal
small sharp knife
platter and accompanying biscuits and treats- I added semi sundried tomatoes, crackers, and olives
Steps
Lay the two lengths of glad wrap flat on the bench. One horizontally and the other on top vertically (to look like a cross). They need to be long enough to cover the cheese when rolling.
Place the two rounds of cheese, one on top of the other, in the centre of the glad wrap cross and enclose with the glad wrap
Lay on it's side and gently roll into the shape of a Christmas tree
Remove the glad wrap and roll in the chopped chives
With your finger gently push pine nuts and pomegranate seeds all over the tree, to look like decorations
Using your cookie cutter, cut a circle out of the slice of hard cheese. Then using the tip of the sharp knife, cut the points of the star out of the circle.
Very gently insert the toothpick into the base of the cheese star and then push the other end into the top of the cream cheese Christmas tree
Place on a platter and add your crackers, olives, sundried tomatoes etc
It will look like a beautiful festive Christmas tree and trust me, you'll get lots of compliments on this one!
Refrigerate until ready to serve
Enjoy! Ange x
